Coconut Dosa




Ingredients:
 
Boiled rice – 2 cups
Grated coconut – 1 cup
Curd – ¼ cup
Baking soda – 1 tsp
Salt to taste
Oil – 2 tbsp

Method of preparation:

1. Soak rice in water over night.
2. Rinse and clean the soaked rice. Drain water completely.
3. Add sufficient water and grind the soaked rice along with grated coconut in the wet grinder to get normal dosa batter.
4. It should become a very fine paste.
5. Add salt and curd to dosa batter. Mix the batter well.
6. Ferment the batter for 6 hours. Add baking soda to fermented batter.
7. Heat the dosa pan, apply oil on pan properly and spread the dosa batter on pan in round form.we can spread the batter into either thick or thin layer. Batter is very flexible to spread.
8. Roast the dosa on both sides well.
9 Very tasty dosa is ready to eat with coconut chutney.
10. Instead of salt we can use jaggery also. Kids are very interested to eat this type of dosa.
