Dahi Bread Balls




This is a snack item for evening time. This is a completely oil free recipe with yummy taste. I learnt from food channel. Every time I make sandwiches or bread omelet with bread. Now I have new recipe with bread. In this used ingredients are very healthy and simple. It doesn’t take much time to make it. Here I made it with wheat bread. Happy cooking……

Ingredients:
Potatoes - 4
Carrot - 1
Green peas   - ½ cup
Lemon Juice -1 tsp
Garam masala powder – 1 tsp
Dhania-jeera powder – 1 tsp
Red chilly powder -  1 tsp
Chat Masala powder – 1 tsp
Bread slices - 5
Salt to taste
Coriander a few.
Sev – 2 tbsp (for garnishing)

Method of preparation:
  1. Boil Potatoes, remove skin and mash them coarsely.
  2. Chop carrots fine and cook it along with green peas till tender. Take all these vegetables in a bowl and mix well.
  3. Add garam masala powder, red chilly powder, dhania-jeera powder, lemon juice, coriander leaves and salt.
  4. Mix well and make small lime size balls. Keep them aside.
  5. Just sprinkle few drops of water on bread slices. Don’t sprinkle more water.
  6. Press it between your palms gently without spoiling the shape of bread slice.
  7. Now place a potato ball inside and fold the bread over and press it like you make a snowball.
  8. Do the same with all bread slices.
  9. Take fresh curd in to bowl and stir well.
  10. Add salt, above mentioned masala powders according to your tasty and mix properly.
  11. Put bread balls in serving bowl and pour curd over the bread balls.
  12. Sprinkle chat masala powder on balls.
  13. Garnish with coriander leaves and sev.
  14. Now yummy dahi bread balls are ready to eat.
  15. If you like to eat sweet &sour (khatta- meeta) chutney you can add over the balls before eating.
