Poha/Flattened Rice/ Rice Flakes



Flattened rice, also called beaten rice is dehusked rice which is flattened into light, dry flat flakes. It is low in sodium, fat and cholesterol. It is beneficial to control blood pressure and lower the risk of heart diseases. Lactose free. Fat free. Good source of 11 essential vitamins and minerals including iron.  It is an easy-to-cook and nutritious snack. Poha is popularly eaten in North East India, Nepal and Bangladesh. It is a standard breakfast in Madhya Pradesh in India.
