Cow Peas(Bobbarlu) Idly

Ingredients:
Black-Eyed beans/cow peas (Bobbarlu) – 1 1/2 cup
Whole wheat -1/2 cup

Salt to taste



Method of preparation:

  1. Rinse and soak black-eyed beans and whole wheat in water for 6 to 8 hours.
  2. Grind black-eyed beans and whole wheat in wet grinder till it is smooth like normal idly batter.
  3.  Add salt to the batter and mix well.
  4.  It is better to make idly instantly. Don’t over ferment the batter.
  5. Put the batter on idly tray and steam the idly for 8 to10 minutes.
  6. Serve tasty& healthy idly along with ghee and nice chutney.
