Black-Eyed beans/cow peas (Bobbarlu) – 1 1/2 cup
Whole wheat -1/2 cup
Salt to taste
Method of preparation:
- Rinse and soak black-eyed beans and whole wheat in water for 6 to 8 hours.
- Grind black-eyed beans and whole wheat in wet grinder till it is smooth like normal idly batter.
- Add salt to the batter and mix well.
- It is better to make idly instantly. Don’t over ferment the batter.
- Put the batter on idly tray and steam the idly for 8 to10 minutes.
- Serve tasty& healthy idly along with ghee and nice chutney.
