Tamoto Chana Dal



Ingredients:

Tamatoes - 4(finely chopped)
Chana Dal - 1/4 cup 

Green chilli - 2 
Ginger Garlic paste - 2 tsp 
Mustard seeds - 1 tsp
Curry Leaves - few
Asafoetida - pinch 

Urad dal - 1 tsp 
Jeera - 1 tsp 
Turmeric Powder - 1 tsp 
Dhania - jeera powder - 2 tsp 
oil - 1 tbsp 
Coriander leaves - few  
Salt to taste


Method of preparation :
  1. Soak chana dal in water for 1/2 hour.
  2. Heat little oil in pan add chopped tomatoes and saute for 1 minute.
  3. Add chana dal &some water and mix well. Cover and cook until it cooks well.
  4. Remove from heat and let it cool for some time and grind into fine paste. Keep it in separate bowl.
  5. Heat some oil in a pan. Pop the mustard seeds, jeera, curry leaves and green chilli.
  6. Add ginger- garlic paste saute for a minute.
  7. Add Tomato chana dal paste and add some water and mix well.
  8. Add turmeric powder ,dhania jeera powder and asafoetida and mix well.
  9. Cover and cook for 2 minutes .Finally add salt and coriander leaves and remove from heat.
  10. Now tasty tomato chana dal ready to eat with plain rice along with ghee.
