Jowar / Jonna / Pearl Millet Salad



Ingredients:
Pearl millet (jonnalu)-1 cup
Black pepper powder-1 tsp
Ghee-1tbsp
Coriander leaves-2 tbsp (optional)
Salt to taste

Method of preparation:
  1. Soak the millets in water for 8 hrs.
  2. Cook the millets in pressure cooker for 4 whistles.
  3. Heat the pan, add ghee and add cooked millets (jonnalu) saute for 2 mints.
  4. Finally add salt and pepper powder.
  5. Garnish with coriander leaves and serve it with hot.
  6. Here I garnished with spring onion and carrot
  7. This is a good choice for breakfast, especially for diabetic and heart disease patients.
  8. Healthy snack item for growing children.
