Green Peas Fired Rice



 In winter season Green peas are very frequently available.That time we can use fresh green peas to make recipes. Otherwise we can use dried green peas. But taste is some what different from these two. However both gives good taste. Fresh green Peas are easy to cook.   I like green peas very much. I use green peas very frequently in winter.


Ingredients:
Cooked Rice - 2 cups
Green peas -  1/2 cup
Ginger-Garlic paste - 2 tbsp
Green Chilli paste - 1 tbsp
Garam Masala powder - 1 tbsp
Ghee - 2 tbsp
Coriander leaves (chopped) - 2 tbsp
Salt to taste
Cashew nuts - as required

Method of Preparation:
  1. If green peas are fresh we can use as it is, otherwise we can soak in water overnight.
  2. Soaked green peas are cooked in pressure cooker for 2 whistles. keep it aside.
  3. Heat a pan, add ghee when ghee is heated add ginger garlic paste saute for 1 minute
  4. Add green chilli paste and salt saute for 1 minute.
  5. Add green peas (or boiled peas) let them cook for 2 minutes.
  6. Add garam masala powder mix them well.
  7. Add cooked rice mix it properly.saute it for 2 minutes.
  8. Add fried cashew nuts and coriander leaves mix it well.
  9. Now yummy green peas fried rice is ready to eat with Raitha or Curry.
